  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 Tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup plain low-fat yogurt
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp finely grated orange peel
  • 1/2 cup each Dried Cherries, Cranberries and Diced Prunes blended
  • 2 Tbsp milk
  • 1 Tbsp coarse sugar


Preheat oven to 400°F. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and nutmeg; mix well. In a separate bowl, whisk yogurt with oil, egg, vanilla and orange peel until combined. Stir into flour mixture until dry ingredients are moistened. Stir in dried fruit. Shape dough into 8 inch circle on a lightly floured surface. Cut into 8 wedges; place on cookie sheet about 1 inch apart. Brush each with milk and sprinkle with coarse sugar. Bake for 15 minutes, or until lightly browned. Serve warm.
