Prune Cake
Ingredients
Prune Cake
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup mashed Sunsweet® Prunes
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon allspice
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 cups sifted cake flour
Instructions

Mix & pour into greased and floured oblong pan or loaf pan. Bake at 350º about 30 - 35 minutes. Cover with sauce (recipe below) immediately after taking out of oven while still in pan.
